On an impulse, I spent Memorial Day weekend in Missouri. After booking tickets with Megabus for the first time, I embarked on a grueling 10 hour ride from Chicago to Missouri. My friend Austin graciously hosted a day party at his swanky 70's inspired pad to kick off Summer. Local bands Shy Boys and Curtain Co. soundtracked our sun-worshipping as we carouseled around the lakeside dock and porch. The water was cold - fit mostly for dipping feet, but a few brave souls ventured in. A wise decision for an evening pizza run to Little Caesars fueled the dancing late into the night.
