Thank you to the wonderful women responding to the XX Open Call. Collaborating together with so many genuine people has been a heartwarming experience for me. Here's to the stories that deserve being told...

Thumy is an artist, photographer, activist and coffee addict. Born in Vietnam and raised in Oklahoma, she had always wanted to be an artist. After graduating high school, Thumy moved to Chicago for art school to pursue a BFA in graphic design. She plans to graduate in Spring of 2013. Thumy describes the 4 years here in Chicago as "crazy and difficult and amazing" and she wouldn't want it any other way. For the rest of her life, she hopes to support herself and her family as an artist. "I'm truly blessed to be doing what I love."
