Chicago XY Sessions - Ramon

I'm very grateful for the response to my recent open call requesting Chicago men to collaborate together for a chance to be in a magazine publication. Outside of the publication, I wanted to understand their side in this endless hustle as a Chicago artist. More than anything, I found this experience to be nothing short of heartwarming. There are many amazing artists around Chicago and out of the few I have been lucky to meet, these are their stories.

- RAMON -

Born in Brooklyn, Ramon has found a home in Chicago. Although he's still a student at Columbia College Chicago, Ramon crafts abstract, ambient beats under the alias known as Ramonst3r. With leanings toward the chillwave genre, his productions are gaining potential to stand as something truly unique. Ramon’s goal is to relax the listener with mellow sounds in each of his tracks.

When he’s not creating music or playing live shows, he is working at the Recording Academy as the GRAMMY U Representative for the Chicago Chapter interviewing artists such as M83, Toro y Moi, and Porter Robinson. He has had his work published on many online blogs and websites including

Ramon plans to re-locate to Los Angeles and continue to make the music that he loves.
