Chicago XX Sessions - Courtney

Thank you to the wonderful women responding to the XX Open Call. The work will be submitted for a chance to be in an online and print magazine. Collaborating together with so many genuine people has been a heartwarming experience for me. Here's to the stories that deserve being told...

- COURTNEY -

Courtney is an Ohio State Buckeye, who has recently moved to Chicago to pursue her dream of becoming a broadcaster. A grad student at DePaul University studying Journalism, she hopes to incorporate her love of the arts and fashion into her work by covering entertainment news. 

Having studied business in undergrad, Courtney is starting from scratch to build a career in a field that is going through many changes. Although broadcast journalism is a tough business to break into, Courtney is determined to achieve her goal, and believes that hard work and faith will get her there. Even if it means creating her own opportunities. She is currently in the process of creating a music blog. 

"In between goals is a thing called life; that has to be lived and enjoyed,” is a quote that Courtney lives by. When not writing or working, she spends her time taking advantage of all the city has to offer such as art museums, live music performances, and nightlife.  She enjoys meeting new people, learning their stories, and creating memories.
